Help us plan the airport of the Future.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is the airport of choice for Central Texas serving more than 12 million passengers annually.
A steady increase in travelers, domestic and international flights, new technologies and passenger safety regulations make it necessary for us to envision how the airport meets future needs. In the summer of 2017 ABIA embarks on a Master Plan Study to envision the airport of the future.
ABIA was originally built in 1999. The airport covers 4,242 acres, including two parallel runways. It was originally designed to serve 11 million passengers. The Master Plan will reflect the anticipated doubling of passenger growth to serve more than 31 million annual passengers.
